Privacy Policy

1. Information you provide
We store your sign-in email, display name, account dates, country, date of birth, survey language, optional gender, education, employment, household size, children count, marital status, housing, postal code, region, device and interest answers, preferences, survey sessions, points activity, reward requests, and support conversations. Optional demographic answers can be left blank.
2. How it is used
We record the accepted policy version and time. Account information supports sign-in, profile matching, reward records, support, abuse prevention, and your chosen community visibility. You do not need to opt into future marketing to use the service.
3. Survey partners
When live surveys are enabled, a partner receives a pseudonymous member identifier, your connection IP and user agent to find eligible studies. The partner may ask its own demographic questions and has its own privacy terms. At present, Pineapple’s saved optional profile answers are not automatically exported to BitLabs.
4. Other services
The site runs on Hostinger managed hosting with a SQLite database for records. Sign-in is by email link or Google. Email delivery uses Resend, processed in its Tokyo region. The anti-bot check uses Cloudflare Turnstile. Reward delivery, once enabled, uses Tremendous, PayPal, Reloadly or Giftbit depending on the reward. Several of these providers operate outside India, so your information may be processed abroad under their own terms and safeguards.
5. Community information
Leaderboard and payout feed participation is off by default. If you enable it in Settings, only a masked name and relevant earning or reward information is shown; payout proofs may include your country. Your email address is never intentionally displayed publicly.
6. Your choices
Download your data from Settings. Update your profile or communication preferences anytime. Corrections to a previously reviewed date of birth require a Support request. Submit a Privacy support ticket for correction, access, deletion, or a complaint. Some transaction and abuse-prevention records may need to remain after account closure; the response will explain the purpose and retention period.
7. Retention and security
Sessions expire after 14 days; email sign-in links expire after 15 minutes and can be used once. Tokens are stored as hashes. Financial entries and audit events are append-only. When trusted proxy checks are configured, we store keyed hashes of connection IPs for up to 30 days to detect shared connections. The scheduled maintenance job removes expired connection records. Shared connections prompt review and are not proof of fraud. When enabled, IPQualityScore receives the connection IP for VPN, Tor and reputation checks. Contact Support to appeal a false positive. Financial, consent and audit records are kept for as long as Indian tax and accounting law requires and are then deleted. Other account data is deleted on request, except where those obligations still apply.
