Does it cost anything to join?

No. Pineapple is free to join and always will be. We are paid by research partners, not by you, and we will never ask you to pay to unlock a reward.

How old do I have to be?

You must be at least 18. We ask for your date of birth during profile setup and check it before your account becomes active.

Why do you need my profile details?

Research partners match studies to people using profile data. Without it you will be offered very little, and most of what you are offered will screen you out.

Do you have a password?

No. You sign in with a single-use link sent to your verified email address, so there is no password to leak or reuse.

Why was I screened out after answering questions?

The researcher was looking for a specific group, or the quota for people like you closed while you were answering. Neither means you did anything wrong.

Do I get anything for a screen-out?

When the partner funds a screen-out payment, we pass it to you in full. Not every partner funds one, and we do not pretend otherwise.

Why is the survey list empty?

Only studies a partner has open right now are shown. Volume varies by country, by day and by profile. Refreshing does not create new research.

Can I leave a survey part way through?

Yes, at any point. There is no penalty. An unfinished study simply is not confirmed, so it is not rewarded.

What are points worth?

10,000 points is $1.00 USD. Every screen shows the cash value beside the points, so you never have to do the conversion yourself.

Why is my reward pending?

Partners can reverse a completion after they confirm it. Rewards stay pending for 48 hours so a reversal does not leave your account owing money.

How long does a payout take?

Every request is reviewed before it is sent. We do not publish a guaranteed turnaround, because we would rather state one we can prove after we have a record of real payouts than promise one now.

Can I change my reward email?

Yes, at the point of requesting a reward. A reward destination can only ever belong to one member, which protects you from someone else directing your reward to their address.

Can I have more than one account?

No. One person, one account. Multiple accounts are the most common reason a balance is frozen, and research partners reject duplicated respondents outright.

What happens if my account is restricted?

You keep read access, you can still export your data, and you can appeal. Our reward terms state what happens to a balance in each account state.
